In a move highlighting proactive governance and institutional pride, Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) Council recently conducted a high-level tour of the Fernhill Campus.
The visit served as a strategic assessment of the university’s evolving landscape, focusing on the transformative construction projects currently reshaping the institution.
Led by Council Chairperson Dr. Blessing Mudavanhu, the delegation expressed strong satisfaction with the pace and quality of work, particularly the development of modern student halls of residence.
During the tour, Dr. Mudavanhu emphasized that infrastructure is the backbone of a world-class academic experience.
“The transformative infrastructure projects unfolding at MSUAS—most notably our modern halls of residence—are a cornerstone of our mission,” said Dr Mudavanhu. “By investing in high-quality student housing, we are doing more than providing shelter; we are cultivating an exceptional hub of academic excellence.
These facilities ensure that student welfare remains our top priority, creating the dignified and secure environment necessary for our scholars to innovate and excel.”
Commenting about the visit, MSUAS Vice Chancellor Professor Albert Chawanda described the delegation’s presence as a vital component of the university’s growth trajectory, noting that their “hands-on approach” ensures the institution remains steadfast in its mandate of innovation and academic excellence.
“This engagement reinforces our shared vision: to foster a culture of innovation where world-class learning seamlessly meets practical, real-world application. With the Council’s guidance, we are ensuring that our infrastructure and our academic output both stand as a testament to Zimbabwean excellence on the global stage, ” said Professor Chawanda.
By prioritizing world-class learning and living environments, the MSUAS Council continues to steer the university toward its goal of becoming a global leader in applied sciences and technological advancement.
This creates a powerful signal that MSUAS is not just expanding its physical footprint, but is systematically elevating the standard of living and learning for the next generation of Zimbabwean innovators.
