VICE CHANCELLOR’S OFFICE

 

  1.  Marketing Manager- (1 Post)

            Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes strategies to attract students and boost the institution’s brand.
  • Marketing research.
  • Lead in digital and print campaigns.
  • Oversee content creation.
  • Drafting and manage marketing budgets tracking campaign effectiveness.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Director-Marketing, Information and Public Relations.

 

           Desired Qualifications and Experience

 

  • Masters in Marketing Management/ Business Management and Communication or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years relevant work experience.
  • University experience is an added advantage.
  • PhD in Marketing a further added advantage.

 

  1. Internal Auditor (1 Post)

             Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performing Audit inspections and reviews.
  • Compiling audit reports for the audited areas.
  • Making recommendations to improve work processes and procedures.
  • Conducting follow-up reviews on past audit.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the Chief internal Auditor.

 

     

          Desired Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A first degree in Accounting/Auditing or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in Accounting/Auditing or equivalent.
  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) or equivalent professional qualification is an added advantage.

 

  1. Security Guard(4 Posts)

          Duties and Responsibilities

  • Protection of University property including staff and students from harm.
  • Patrolling the University premises.
  • Safeguarding crops and animals of the University.
  • Regulate access to the University premises and exit points and ensuring that bonafide employees, students and University stakeholders enter the premises.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 

          Desired Qualifications and Experience

 

  • A minimum of O’Level Certificate.
  • Security certificate or proof of having received training in security operations in public reputable institutions.
  • Two years relevant experience as a security guard.
  • No criminal record.

 

        REGISTRY DEPARTMENT

 

  1. Administrative Assistant / Assistant Registrar- Human Resource

(1 Post)

       Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent should have a strong appreciation of the various HR policies and procedures, and should be able to assist in the following HR activities:

 

  • Recruitment and selection of employees.
  • Onboarding and offboarding processes of all employees.
  • Staff disciplinary processes and employee grievance handling.
  • Implementation of labour laws and HR policies.
  • Facilitating staff development programmes.
  • Ensure employees ’personal files are kept up to date in both hard and electronic format.
  • Ensure all employees have correct and valid contracts as per NEC Agriculture Collective Bargaining Agreement and other statutory provisions.
  • Ensure leave registers are accurate and kept up to date.
  • Compile and submit monthly paysheets and wagebill.
  • Submit Personal Protective Equipment /Clothing requisitions and ensure it is distributed accordingly.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned from time to time.

 

      

           Desired Qualifications and Experience

 

  • BSc in Human Resource Management or equivalent.
  • At least two years work experience in the Human Resource field.
  • A Masters degree is an added advantage.
  • High level of professionalism and integrity.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to keep abreast with changing labour laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience and knowledge of dealing with workers under the Construction Industry and NEC Agriculture is a further added advantage.

 

 

  1.  Administrative Assistant/ Assistant Registrar- Faculty of

Agribusiness Management and Applied Social Sciences (1 Post).

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide administrative support and advice to the Executive Dean of Faculty.
  • Acting as the first contact point for students.
  • Coordinating student recruitment through preparing advertisements for academic programs in the faculty in conjunction with the admissions section.
  • Facilitating in processing examination and processing examination results.
  • Organizing and servicing committee meetings in accordance with the University committee’s diary.
  • Facilitating academic planning, teaching and learning and student registration.
  • Administration of student records.
  • Act as A chief invigilator during sessional examination.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences/ Business Studies/ Humanities or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in the relevant field is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years relevant work experience.
  • University experience is a further added advantage.
  • An understanding of student progression.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).

 

  1.   BURSAR’S DEPARTMENT

   Administrative Assistant- Non Current Assets (1 Post).

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Maintenance of University Asset Register.
  • Drafting and posting of all periodic depreciation and other related journals.
  • Verification of existence and location of assets.
  • Asset disposal management in liaison with procurement unit.
  • Compilation of all relevant audit schedules.
  • Servicing of related committee meetings.
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • At least five (5) Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year relevant work experience in a similar position.
  • Computer literacy/knowledge of Accounting Packages a must.

 

 

  1. Stores Clerk/Senior Stores Clerk (1 Post).

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Maintenance and updating stores records.
  • Receiving and issuing stocks on stock cards and relevant accounting package.
  • Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and system records and safe keeping of stock items.
  • Reporting on damaged and expired inventory.
  • Stock tacking.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • At least five (5) Ordinary level passes including Mathematics and English
  • NC/ND/HND in Purchasing and Supply or equivalent.
  • At least one (1) year relevant work experience.
