           BURSAR’S DEPARTMENT

 

  1. Assistant Bursar-Planning Systems and Control (1 Post).

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Costing of various University programmes and activities.
  • Preparation of yearly budgets.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts.
  • Maintenance of University commitment registers.
  • Preparation of trading accounts for various commercial activities of the University.
  • Supervision of junior employees in the department as directed by the University Bursar.
  • Performing any other duties as assigned from time to time.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Honours Degree in Accounting/ Business Management or equivalent.
  • Be a member of a relevant Professional Board.
  • At least 3 years post qualification experience.

 

 

  1. Accounting Assistant/ Chief Accounting Assistant Student Accounts

           

             Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.
  • Attending to student queries.
  • Student billing.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit schedules.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor from time to time.

 

 

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • National Diploma or Higher National Diploma in Accounting and Finance or equivalent.
  • Degree in Accounting and Finance.
  • Have at least two (2) year post qualification experience.
  • Knowledge of accounting software.
  • Experience in cash handling.

 

 

           DIVISION OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

 

  1. Nurse (1 Post).

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Implement and evaluate individual treatment plan for patients.
  • Identify and manage as appropriate treatment plans for patients at risk of developing long term positions.
  • Ensure that all required observations, prescribed treatment and procedures are properly carried out and documented in the patient’s charts.
  • Escort patients to other referral hospitals where necessary.
  • Plan and conduct regular training sessions, campaigns and workshops on health issues for both students and staff.
  • Give health education to parties.
  • Compile and submit monthly reports.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Diploma in General Nursing.
  • At least 5 O’ Levels including English, plus at least five (5) years hands on post qualification experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, or its equivalent is a distinct advantage.
  • A valid practicing certificate from the Nurses Council of Zimbabwe is a requirement.
  • Applicants should be of high integrity, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skill, emotionally mature and self-driven.
  • University experience as a General Nurse and or postgraduate qualification(s) in Mental Health/Community Nursing/Health Promotion/Psychological Counselling is an added advantage.
  • A driver’s license is a further added advantage.

 

 

           WORK AND INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT

 

  1. Quantity Surveying Technician (1 Post).

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Prepare Schedule of materials for prospect estimates.
  • Carry out measures works for project in progress.
  • Prepare requisitions for purchase of materials.
  • Prepare schedules for motor vehicles and equipment fuels.
  • Receiving materials from suppliers and check quality against specification.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Diploma in Quantity Surveying.
  • 5 O’ Levels.
  • Class 4 drivers Licence.
  • 2 years post qualification experience.

 

  1. Electrician (1 Post)

 

            Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Carry out installation on new and existing building.
  • Carry out repairs and maintenance of installations, electrical equipment and fittings.
  • Maintain and fit motors, switchboards control panels etc.
  • Install low voltage power lines and maintenance.
  • Good working knowledge of solar installations and maintenance.
  • Monitor electrical meters and request prepaid payments.
  • Prepare electrical BOQs.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • 5 O’Level passes.
  • National Diploma in Electrical Power.
  • Artesian Class 1 Journeyman.
  • Class 4 drivers Licence.
  • Class 3 drivers licence is an added advantage.
  • Have at least three (3) year post qualification experience.

 

 

FACULTY ADMINISTRATORS

 

  1. Administrative Assistant (1 Post).

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Provide administrative support and advice to the Executive Dean of Faculty.
  • Acting as the first contact point for students.
  • Coordinating student recruitment through preparing advertisements for academic programs in the faculty in conjunction with the admissions section.
  • Facilitating the conduct of examinations and processing examination and processing examination results.
  • Organizing and servicing committee meetings in accordance with the University committee’s diary.
  • Facilitating academic planning, teaching and learning and student registration.
  • Administration of student records.

 

Desired Qualifications & Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science/ Business studies/ Humanities or equivalent.
  • Master’s degree in the relevant field is an added advantage.
  • At least 3 years University experience as an administrator.
  • An understanding of student progression.
  • Computer Literacy.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
