The Chairman of the Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) Council, Dr. Blessing Mudavanhu, the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Albert Chawanda, the University Council, Senate, Staff, Alumni and Students warmly congratulate Mr. Victor Takunda Japu on his appointment as the MSUAS Bursar with effect from 1 September 2024.

Mr. Japu is a certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience in university finance management. He holds both a Bachelor’s Honours Degree and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Midlands State University, and he is certified by the Public Accountants and Auditors Board (PAAB). He also has qualifications in Higher Education Management from the University of Witswatersrand and Galilea Institute of Management.

Mr. Japu began his accounting career in 1998, joining Midlands State University in 2000 as an Accounting Assistant. He became Deputy  Bursar of Accounting and Finance in 2009 and was later tasked with establishing the finance office at MSU-Manicaland College of Applied Sciences in 2015.

Through his expertise, MSUAS remains deeply committed to developing transparent and efficient financial systems. Furthermore, his expertise plays a crucial role in the university’s budget planning and campus development, ensuring  sound fiscal management and strategic growth.
