Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) emerged as the Second Runner-Up for Best Training Institution Stand at the Hlanganani/Sanganai/Kumbanayi Travel Expo, which concluded in Mutare yesterday.
The accolade is a testament to the dedication, creativity, and innovation of Team MSUAS, whose collaborative efforts and commitment to showcasing Zimbabwe’s rich hospitality industry drew widespread recognition.
The MSUAS stand was among the most popular attractions, drawing crowds of all ages eager to capture memorable moments in the MSUAS Game Park display. Visitors were fascinated by the exhibition of “live” wild animals, including cheetahs, pangolins, porcupines, hornbills, bucks, and hawks.
Beyond the exhibition, MSUAS is establishing a game park at its Headlands campus, a transformative project set to boost the province’s hospitality sector while offering students vital hands-on training in line with Education 5.0.
The display also won the admiration of the First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa, who commended the university for its practical and forward-thinking approach to exhibitions.
MSUAS stood out from over 50 educational institutions from across Zimbabwe offering travel and tourism studies, cementing its reputation as a leader in applied sciences and hospitality innovation.
