Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) added yet another accolade to its glittering list of awards after the country’s upcoming premier University was adjudged the 2021 Gold Winner in “The Most Outstanding Training Institution Category,” at the MegaFest National Business Awards that were held in Harare at the Harare International Conference Centre (HICC) on Thursday, 23 June 2022.
In the same fit, the University’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Albert Chawanda also scooped the Platinum Award of the Strategic Leader of the Year 2021 Category.
The awards come after the Vice-Chancellor, earlier, scooped Megafest Eastern Region Strategic Leader of the Year 2021 Platinum Winner while the institution got the Outstanding Training Institution of the Year 2021 Gold Winner Award at the ceremony held on the 3rd of June 2022 at the Golden Peacock Hotel, in Mutare.
The University was recognized for its remarkable contribution to the development of the country’s human resource base in the year 2021.
Speaking after receiving the award on behalf of the institution, Professor Chawanda said, “The award is a befitting recognition of the hard work, commitment and dedication of the MSUAS staff, students and stakeholders. With this continued support from our valued stakeholders, MSUAS is surely on the right trajectory to be a research beacon in the country and beyond as we seek to modernise and industrialise the economy”
The MegaFest Business Awards are held annually in honour of individuals and institutions that will have contributed significantly to the growth and development of Zimbabwe’s economy.
