Eight students from Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences’ Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Sciences Department benefited from United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) by being awarded each a prestigious Scholarship. The scholarships were awarded through Her Excellence the Fisrt Lady Dr. A Mnangagwa and handover at a colourful ceremony held on the 8th of February 2024 at the Zimbabwe House in Harare. The students were accompanied by The Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor. A. Chawanda and Dr. C. Njerekai, the Acting Chairperson of the Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Sciences Department. The University congratulates the students for being selected and wishes them well in their academic endeavours.
