Members of the Manicaland State University of Applied Sciences (MSUAS) Council recently toured the institution’s Fernhill Campus to assess and appreciate ongoing infrastructural developments.
The visit underscored the Council’s continued commitment to supporting the growth and transformation of the university.
Led by Council Chairperson Dr Blessing Mudavanhu, the delegation commended the visible progress made on campus, particularly the construction of students’ halls of residence.
“I commend the remarkable infrastructure developments taking place on our campus, particularly the construction of our student halls of residence,” said Dr Mudavanhu.
“These facilities will provide students with a safe and conducive living environment. The halls will not only enhance the overall student experience but also support their academic success and personal growth. I would like to express my gratitude to the Government of Zimbabwe for the unwavering support and investment in our university.”
MSUAS Vice Chancellor Professor Albert Chawanda welcomed the visit, describing it as a symbol of trust, oversight, and shared vision in advancing higher education and innovation.
“We are deeply honoured to host our Councillors on this important visit,” he said.
“This visit is a testament to the Council’s commitment to our university’s growth and success. The University Council’s engagement is crucial in shaping our strategic direction, ensuring academic excellence, and fostering a culture of
innovation. As MSUAS, we value your insights, expertise, and leadership, which are essential in navigating the complexities of higher and tertiary education.”
Dr Mudavanhu was accompanied by Vice Chairperson Dr Rebecca Matangaidze-Chembera and other Council members.
The visit reinforces the University Council’s hands-on approach and its collaborative role in steering the institution toward excellence.
It also reflects a shared commitment to providing world-class learning and living environments for students while promoting academic and institutional development.
